Contracting Authority: Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine
This project involved extending the Middle Pier Quay at Howth Harbour to improve access, maintenance, and berthing facilities. It involved the following works:
- The construction of a circa 134m long quay wall at the western face of the pier and associated deck area, road access, hard standing and parking
- Dredging works to -4m Chart Datum at the quay wall face
- The treatment and re-use of the dredge spoil within the structure/reclamation area
- Land reclamation at the eastern side of the Middle Pier
- Construction of a rock armour revetment at the eastern side of the Middle Pier
- Installation of new ancillary services and mooring furniture.
The works were completed in late 2022.
