Dinish Wharf Expansion, Castletownbere

This project was for the provision of an additional 216m of berthage at Dinish Island at Castletownbere Fishery Harbour Centre.

The works included site clearance, dredging/excavations, reclamation, quay wall construction, quay wall improvements, dredging of berthing pocket to -8.0m CD and navigation channel to -6.5m CD, land reclamation, composite breakwater and revetment construction, surfacing, service installations such as drainage, power and lighting, relocation of navigation lights, fencing and boundary works and all other associated civil engineering works.

This project is part supported by the Irish government and the European Maritime & Fisheries Fund as part of the EMFF Operational Programme for 2014-2020.

The works were completed in late 2023.
